AI Diagrams & Study Techniques
This release brings three new study techniques to Claritii and introduces AI-powered diagram generation. You can now learn through Blurting, Active Recall, and the Feynman Technique — three of the most effective methods in education research. And when a picture is worth a thousand words, our AI generates biology cell diagrams, DNA helixes, circuit schematics, and more.
New Features
- AI-powered diagram generation: upload your biology, chemistry, or physics notes and the AI produces clear, annotated diagrams — from plant cells and mitochondria to human circulatory systems and series circuits.
- Blurting Technique: a step-by-step workflow where you write down everything you remember without checking your notes, then compare against the source material, identify gaps, correct mistakes, and refine your understanding.
- Active Recall Technique: structured self-questioning that forces you to retrieve information from memory, building stronger neural pathways than passive review. Each session tracks your attempts and highlights what you knew versus what you missed.
- The Feynman Technique: explain a concept in simple language as if teaching a complete beginner. The app identifies gaps in your explanation and prompts you to simplify until the concept is crystal clear.
Improvements
- Flashcards now use a 1–5 rating system, from “Forgot” to “Perfect,” replacing the old three-button system. This finer-grained feedback produces smarter review scheduling — cards you almost remember show up sooner than cards you’ve mastered.
- Every landing page demo now shows a different feature in action. Rather than repeating the same demo, each section of the page demonstrates a distinct capability, giving you a complete tour of what Claritii can do.
Fixes
- Flashcard scheduling now properly accounts for your review history, preventing cards from reappearing too soon or too late.
Why We Built This
Students kept telling us the same thing: flashcards are great, but they’re not the only way to study. Some concepts are better learned by explaining them out loud. Others need you to write down everything you remember without hints. And sometimes, drawing a diagram embeds a process in your memory more deeply than any flashcard ever could.
We researched the most effective study techniques validated by cognitive science and built them directly into Claritii. Blurting forces active retrieval without prompts. Active Recall builds deeper understanding through self-questioning. The Feynman Technique makes you explain concepts so simply a beginner could understand them — which, counterintuitively, is one of the best ways to master a topic yourself.
The AI Diagram Generator came from a different insight: biology students spend hours copying diagrams from textbooks by hand. We built an AI pipeline that generates clear, annotated diagrams from your study content, saving you time and giving you visual aids that actually match what you’re learning.
What’s Next
We’re planning to add more diagram types — including chemistry molecular structures, physics force diagrams, and geography map annotations. We’re also working on integrating the study techniques more deeply into your daily roadmap so the app automatically suggests the best technique for each topic based on what you’re studying.
